On 11 September 2020, employees of «E. Meshalkin National Medical Research Center» of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, MD D.A. Astapov, PhD I.V. Pchelina, PhD D.N. Ponomarev, T.G. Narygina within the framework of the federal project “Development of a network of national medical research centers and the introduction of innovative medical technologies” assessed the organization and quality of medical care for patients with cardiovascular diseases in Jewish Autonomous Region.
During the visit, the experts studied the mortality and morbidity rates of the population in diseases of the circulatory system, the procedure for routing patients with acute coronary syndrome, personnel and material and technical support of the region by profile. Together with the administration, the divisions of the Regional Vascular Center “Regional Hospital” (Birobidzhan) were examined, meetings were held with employees of the Health Department of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region in areas with an assessment of the volume of surgical care for patients with cardiovascular diseases, preferential drug provision for patients who have had acute diseases and surgical interventions on the heart and blood vessels, the level of health informatization. When studying the case histories, an assessment was made of the compliance of treatment with clinical guidelines, quality assessment criteria for the disease profile.
Recommendations based on the results of the field event will be presented to the management of the Health Department of the Government of the Jewish Autonomous Region, the District Hospital administration, and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
