Specialists of «E.Meshalkin National Medical Research Center» of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation assessed the organization and quality of medical care in the field of “cardiovascular surgery” in the constituent entity of the Russian Federation “Khabarovsk region”

On 9 and 10 September 2020, employees of «E.Meshalkin National Medical Research Center» of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, MD D.A. Astapov, PhD I.V. Pchelina, T.G. Narygina, I.V. Polyakova within the framework of the federal project “Development of a network of national medical research centers and the introduction of innovative medical technologies” assessed the organization and quality of medical care for patients with cardiovascular diseases in Khabarovsk region.

During the visit, the experts studied the indicators of the regional program “Control of cardiovascular diseases”, the procedure for routing patients for the provision of specialized, including high-tech, medical care for diseases of the circulatory system, including the provision of medical care for acute coronary syndrome, in vascular centers, cardiological , specialized surgical departments «Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2», «S. I. Sergeeva Regional Clinical Hospital No.1»,“ Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery ”. Working meetings were held with the leadership of medical organizations, heads of specialized departments, attending physicians, chief specialists of the Khabarovsk region in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, X-ray endovascular methods of diagnosis and treatment, heads of the regional Medical Information and analytical center, profile departments of the Ministry of Health of the Khabarovsk region on status and the prospects for the development of surgical care for cardiovascular pathology, continuity of patient management “hospital-polyclinic”, preferential drug provision for patients who have undergone surgery on the heart and blood vessels, health informatization, accounting and formation of state statistical reporting.

When studying medical histories, the assessment of treatment compliance with clinical recommendations and quality assessment criteria for the disease profile was carried out. Special attention is paid to the issues of pharmacovigilance and control of medical devices.

The preliminary results of the visit were discussed at a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs – acting Minister of Health E.L. Nikonov, chief freelance specialist-cardiovascular surgeon of the Ministry of Health of the Khabarovsk region and the Far Eastern Federal District E.V. Rosseikin, representatives of the departments of the Ministry of Health of the Khabarovsk region, outlined the main problems and prospects for optimizing the treatment network and routing patients in the provision of medical care in the region with acute coronary syndrome, providing cardiological patients with free drugs, informatization of health care.

Recommendations based on the results of the on-site event will be presented to the leadership of the Ministry of Health of the Khabarovsk region, the administration of regional medical organizations, chief freelance specialists in the areas, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
